Kapsalon
Kapsalon is a Dutch fast food dish created in 2003, consisting of a layer of fries placed into a disposable metal take-away tray, topped with döner or shawarma meat, covered with slices of Gouda cheese, and heated in an oven until the cheese melts. Then a layer of shredded iceberg lettuce is added, dressed with garlic sauce and sambal, a hot sauce from the Indonesian cuisine.

- Iceberg lettuce - 1, shredded
- Gouda cheese - 200 grams, sliced
- Döner or shawarma meat - 500 grams
- Fries - 1 bag
Let's Get Started
- Preheat your oven to 220°C (430°F).
- Spread the fries on a baking tray and bake according to the instructions on the bag.
- While the fries are baking, heat the döner or shawarma meat in a frying pan over medium heat.
- Once the fries are done, remove them from the oven and spread the meat over the fries.
- Cover the meat and fries with the slices of Gouda cheese.
- Return the tray to the oven and bake until the cheese is melted and bubbly, about 10 minutes.
- Remove the tray from the oven and top with the shredded iceberg lettuce.
- Drizzle the garlic sauce and sambal over the top.
- Serve the kapsalon hot, with extra sauces on the side if desired.
