Hiyayakko
Hiyayakko is a simple and refreshing Japanese dish made with chilled tofu and toppings.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Bonito flakes - 1 tablespoon
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Ginger - 1 tablespoon, grated
- Green onions - 2, finely chopped
- Silken tofu - 1 block
Let's Get Started
- Cut the tofu into four equal pieces and place them on a plate.
- Chill the tofu in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
- Just before serving, drain any excess water from the plate.
- Top each piece of tofu with the green onions, ginger, and bonito flakes.
- Drizzle the soy sauce over the tofu.
- Serve immediately.
