Grape Pie
A sweet, tangy pie made with fresh grapes, perfect for a summer dessert.
Ingredients - Serves 8
- Butter - 1 tablespoon, cut into small pieces
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - 1/4 teaspoon
- Cornstarch - 3 tablespoons
- Sugar - 1 cup
- Fresh grapes - 4 cups, halved and seeded
- Pie crust - 2 sheets
Let's Get Started
- Preheat the oven to 375°F.
- Roll out one sheet of pie crust and fit it into a 9-inch pie plate.
- In a large bowl, combine the grapes, sugar, cornstarch, salt, and lemon juice. Stir until the grapes are evenly coated.
- Pour the grape mixture into the pie crust and dot with the butter.
- Roll out the second sheet of pie crust and place it over the grape filling. Crimp the edges to seal and cut a few slits in the top to allow steam to escape.
- Bake for 45 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the filling is bubbly. Let cool before serving.
