Gooey Butter Cake

Ingredients - Serves 12

Let's Get Started

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine cake mix, 1 egg, and melted butter in a bowl and mix well. Press into the bottom of a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth. Add 2 eggs, vanilla extract, and powdered sugar and beat until smooth.
  4. Spread cream cheese mixture over cake mix layer in baking dish.
  5. Bake in preheated oven until edges are brown and center jiggles slightly when pan is shaken, about 40 minutes.
  6. Let cake cool before cutting into squares and serving.
