French Fries
Crispy and delicious homemade French fries.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Salt - To taste
- Vegetable oil - 4 cups
- Potatoes - 4 large
Let's Get Started
- Peel the potatoes and cut them into evenly sized sticks.
- Place the potato sticks in a bowl of cold water and let them soak for 30 minutes.
- Drain the potatoes and pat them dry with a clean kitchen towel.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C).
- Working in batches, carefully add the potatoes to the hot oil and fry for about 5-7 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove the fries from the oil using a slotted spoon or tongs and transfer them to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
- Sprinkle the fries with salt while they are still hot.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
