Falooda
Falooda is a popular Indian dessert made with rose syrup, vermicelli, sweet basil seeds, and milk, topped with ice cream.
Ingredients - Serves 2
- Chopped nuts for garnish - 1 tablespoon
- Vanilla ice cream - 2 scoops
- Milk - 2 cups
- Sweet basil seeds (sabja seeds) - 2 tablespoons
- Falooda sev (vermicelli) - 1/2 cup
- Rose syrup - 2 tablespoons
Let's Get Started
- Soak the sweet basil seeds in water for 30 minutes until they swell up.
- Boil the falooda sev as per the instructions on the packet. Drain and set aside.
- In a glass, add 1 tablespoon of rose syrup.
- Add the soaked sweet basil seeds and the cooked falooda sev.
- Pour in the milk until the glass is almost full.
- Top with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and garnish with chopped nuts.
- Serve the falooda with a long spoon and a straw.
