Drunk Crab
A delicious and unique seafood dish where fresh crabs are marinated in a flavorful wine mixture.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Sugar - 1 tablespoon
- Soy sauce - 1/2 cup
- Green onions - 4, chopped
- Ginger - 1 inch piece, minced
- Garlic - 6 cloves, minced
- White wine - 2 cups
- Live crabs - 4 medium-sized
Let's Get Started
- Clean the crabs thoroughly and cut into halves.
- In a large bowl, mix together the wine, garlic, ginger, green onions, soy sauce, sugar, and salt.
- Add the crabs into the bowl and mix well. Make sure the crabs are fully submerged in the wine mixture.
- Cover the bowl and let the crabs marinate in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best results.
- After marinating, steam the crabs over high heat for about 20 minutes, or until they turn bright red and are fully cooked.
- Serve the drunk crabs hot, with the remaining wine mixture as a dipping sauce.
