Creamy Parmesan Pasta with Mushrooms and Chicken
This creamy and flavorful pasta dish is made with tender chicken, sautéed mushrooms, and a rich Parmesan cheese sauce.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped (for garnish)
- Pasta - 8 oz, cooked according to package instructions
- Salt and pepper - To taste
- Parmesan cheese - 1/2 cup, grated
- Heavy cream - 1 cup
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Butter - 2 tablespoons
- Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
- Mushrooms - 8 oz, sliced
- Chicken breast - 2, boneless and skinless, cut into bite-sized pieces
Let's Get Started
- In a large skillet, heat the butter and olive oil over medium heat.
- Add the chicken pieces and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the sliced mushrooms and minced garlic. Sauté until the mushrooms are golden brown and the garlic is fragrant, about 5 minutes.
- Reduce the heat to low and add the heavy cream and grated Parmesan cheese to the skillet. Stir until the cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Add the cooked pasta and cooked chicken back to the skillet. Toss until everything is well coated in the creamy sauce.
- Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, or until heated through.
- Serve the creamy Parmesan pasta with mushrooms and chicken hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
