Com Ga Nuong
Com Ga Nuong is a Vietnamese dish consisting of grilled lemongrass chicken served with fragrant jasmine rice.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Lime wedges - For serving
- Fresh cilantro - 1/4 cup, chopped
- Cucumber - 1, sliced
- Jasmine rice - 2 cups, cooked
- Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
- Lime juice - 2 tablespoons
- Honey - 2 tablespoons
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Fish sauce - 3 tablespoons
- Garlic - 4 cloves, minced
- Lemongrass stalks - 2, finely chopped
- Chicken thighs - 4, boneless and skinless
Let's Get Started
- In a bowl, combine the lemongrass, garlic, fish sauce, soy sauce, honey, lime juice, and vegetable oil to make the marinade.
- Add the chicken thighs to the marinade and toss to coat. Let marinate for at least 1 hour, or overnight for best flavor.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
- Remove the chicken from the marinade and grill for 5-6 minutes per side, or until cooked through and slightly charred.
- Let the chicken rest for a few minutes, then slice into thin strips.
- Serve the grilled lemongrass chicken over jasmine rice, garnished with sliced cucumber and chopped cilantro.
- Squeeze fresh lime juice over the dish before eating for an extra burst of flavor.
