Ingredients - Serves 4

Let's Get Started

  1. Season the chuck steaks with salt and black pepper on both sides.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the chuck steaks to the skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes per side, or until browned.
  4. Remove the steaks from the skillet and set aside.
  5. In the same skillet, melt the butter and add the mushrooms. Cook until the mushrooms are golden brown, about 5 minutes.
  6. Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
  7. Pour in the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce. Bring to a simmer.
  8. In a small bowl, whisk together the cornstarch and water to make a slurry.
  9. Add the slurry to the skillet and stir until the sauce thickens.
  10. Return the chuck steaks to the skillet and cook for an additional 5-7 minutes, or until the steaks are cooked to your desired doneness.
  11. Serve the chuck steaks with the mushroom sauce on top.
