Chicken Wontons
These homemade chicken wontons are filled with a flavorful mixture of ground chicken, vegetables, and seasonings. They are perfect as an appetizer or a main course.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
- Water - 1/4 cup
- Wonton wrappers - 24
- Pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Green onions - 3, finely chopped
- Ground chicken - 1 pound
Let's Get Started
- In a large bowl, combine the ground chicken, green onions, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- Place a small spoonful of the chicken mixture in the center of a wonton wrapper. Moisten the edges of the wrapper with water, then fold it in half to form a triangle. Press the edges to seal.
- Repeat with the remaining wonton wrappers and chicken mixture.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the wontons and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
- Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
