Ingredients - Serves 4

Let's Get Started

  1. In a bowl, combine the grated ginger, minced garlic, cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, lemon juice, yogurt, and salt to make the marinade.
  2. Cut the chicken thighs into bite-sized pieces and add them to the marinade. Mix well to coat the chicken evenly. Let it marinate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for better flavor.
  3. Preheat the grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
  4. Thread the marinated chicken pieces onto skewers.
  5. Brush the grill with vegetable oil to prevent sticking.
  6. Grill the chicken skewers for about 6-8 minutes per side, or until cooked through and slightly charred.
  7. Remove from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes.
  8. Serve the chicken sekuwa hot with a side of rice or naan bread.
