Chicken Liver Pâté
A rich and creamy pâté that's perfect as an appetizer or part of a charcuterie board.
Ingredients - Serves 6
- Cream - 1/4 cup
- Salt and pepper - To taste
- Thyme - 1 teaspoon, fresh
- Brandy - 1/4 cup
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Onion - 1, chopped
- Butter - 1/2 cup
- Chicken livers - 1 pound
Let's Get Started
- Melt half the butter in a pan over medium heat.
- Add the onion and garlic and cook until soft, about 5 minutes.
- Add the chicken livers, brandy, thyme, salt, and pepper. Cook until the livers are browned but still pink in the middle, about 5 minutes.
- Remove from heat and let cool.
- Transfer the liver mixture to a food processor. Add the remaining butter and the cream and process until smooth.
- Transfer the pâté to a serving dish, cover, and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
