Cabbage and Carrot Fritters
These crispy and flavorful cabbage and carrot fritters are perfect as a snack or side dish.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Garlic powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Egg - 1
- All-purpose flour - 1/2 cup
- Onion - 1 small, finely chopped
- Carrots - 2 medium, grated
- Cabbage - 2 cups, shredded
Let's Get Started
- In a large bowl, combine the shredded cabbage, grated carrots, and chopped onion.
- Add the all-purpose flour, egg, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper to the bowl. Mix well until all ingredients are combined.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
- Scoop about 1/4 cup of the fritter mixture and drop it into the hot oil. Flatten it slightly with a spatula.
- Cook the fritters for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove the fritters from the pan and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
- Repeat the process with the remaining fritter mixture.
