Burns Night Coffee
A warm and comforting coffee drink inspired by Burns Night, a Scottish celebration of the poet Robert Burns.
Ingredients - Serves 1
- Nutmeg - Pinch
- Ground cinnamon - 1/4 teaspoon
- Heavy cream - 2 tablespoons
- Honey - 1 tablespoon
- Scotch whisky - 1 ounce
- Strong brewed coffee - 1 cup
Let's Get Started
- Brew a strong cup of coffee.
- In a small saucepan, heat the whisky and honey over low heat until warmed through.
- In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form.
- Pour the hot coffee into a mug.
- Pour the warmed whisky and honey mixture into the coffee and stir well.
- Top the coffee with a dollop of whipped cream.
- Sprinkle ground cinnamon and a pinch of nutmeg on top of the whipped cream.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
