Brown Sugar Glazed Carrots
These sweet and savory glazed carrots are a perfect side dish for any meal.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Parsley - 1 tablespoon, chopped
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Brown sugar - 1/3 cup
- Butter - 2 tablespoons
- Carrots - 1 pound, peeled and sliced
Let's Get Started
- Place the carrots in a large pot and cover with water. Bring to a boil over high heat, then reduce the heat to medium and simmer until the carrots are tender, about 10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
- In the same pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the brown sugar, salt, and pepper and stir until the sugar is dissolved.
- Add the carrots back to the pot and stir until they are coated in the glaze.
- Cook for an additional 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the glaze is thickened.
- Sprinkle with chopped parsley before serving.
