Ingredients - Serves 12
- Chocolate ganache - 1 cup
- Vanilla custard filling - 2 cups
- Shortbread crust - 1 1/2 cups
Let's Get Started
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a baking dish with parchment paper.
- Prepare the shortbread crust by combining the shortbread crust ingredients in a bowl and pressing the mixture into the bottom of the baking dish.
- Bake the crust for 15 minutes, or until golden brown. Let it cool completely.
- Prepare the vanilla custard filling by following your favorite recipe or using a store-bought mix. Pour the custard over the cooled crust and spread it evenly.
- Place the baking dish in the refrigerator and let it chill for at least 2 hours, or until the custard is set.
- Prepare the chocolate ganache by melting the chocolate in a heatproof bowl over simmering water. Once melted, pour the ganache over the chilled custard layer and spread it evenly.
- Return the baking dish to the refrigerator and let it chill for another 1 hour, or until the ganache is set.
- Once fully set, remove the Boston Cream Bars from the baking dish using the parchment paper and cut them into bars.
- Serve and enjoy!
