Ingredients - Serves 12

Let's Get Started

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare the shortbread crust by combining the shortbread crust ingredients in a bowl and pressing the mixture into the bottom of the baking dish.
  3. Bake the crust for 15 minutes, or until golden brown. Let it cool completely.
  4. Prepare the vanilla custard filling by following your favorite recipe or using a store-bought mix. Pour the custard over the cooled crust and spread it evenly.
  5. Place the baking dish in the refrigerator and let it chill for at least 2 hours, or until the custard is set.
  6. Prepare the chocolate ganache by melting the chocolate in a heatproof bowl over simmering water. Once melted, pour the ganache over the chilled custard layer and spread it evenly.
  7. Return the baking dish to the refrigerator and let it chill for another 1 hour, or until the ganache is set.
  8. Once fully set, remove the Boston Cream Bars from the baking dish using the parchment paper and cut them into bars.
  9. Serve and enjoy!
