Baked Ramen
This delicious baked ramen dish is a twist on the classic Japanese noodle soup. It's packed with flavor and topped with a crispy breadcrumb and cheese crust.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Green onions - 2, chopped
- Parmesan cheese - 1/4 cup, grated
- Breadcrumbs - 1/2 cup
- Water - 2 tablespoons
- Cornstarch - 1 tablespoon
- Chicken broth - 2 cups
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Mushrooms - 8 ounces, sliced
- Bell pepper - 1, thinly sliced
- Carrot - 1, thinly sliced
- Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
- Onion - 1, diced
- Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
- Ramen noodles - 4 packs
Let's Get Started
- Preheat the oven to 375°F.
- Cook the ramen noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat. Add the onion, garlic, carrot, bell pepper, and mushrooms. Cook until the vegetables are tender, about 5 minutes.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, sesame oil, chicken broth, cornstarch, and water. Pour the mixture into the skillet with the vegetables. Cook until the sauce thickens, about 2 minutes.
- Add the cooked ramen noodles to the skillet and toss to coat them in the sauce.
- Transfer the mixture to a baking dish. In a separate bowl, combine the breadcrumbs and grated Parmesan cheese. Sprinkle the breadcrumb mixture over the top of the ramen.
- Bake for 15 minutes, or until the breadcrumbs are golden and crispy.
- Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
