This zucchini and garlic tart is a delicious and savory dish that highlights the flavors of fresh zucchini and garlic.

Ingredients

  • Fresh basil - 1/4 cup, chopped
  • Salt and pepper - To taste
  • Parmesan cheese - 1/2 cup, grated
  • Milk - 1/2 cup
  • Eggs - 3
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic - 4 cloves, minced
  • Zucchini - 2 medium, thinly sliced
  • Puff pastry - 1 sheet

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  2. Roll out the puff pastry sheet and place it in a tart pan.
  3. In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Add the sliced zucchini to the skillet and cook for 5-7 minutes until softened. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, grated Parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper.
  6. Spread the cooked zucchini and garlic mixture evenly over the puff pastry.
  7. Pour the egg mixture over the zucchini and garlic.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes until the tart is golden and set.
  9. Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes.
  10. Garnish with fresh chopped basil before serving.
