Venison Chili

A hearty and spicy chili made with lean venison meat and a variety of beans. Perfect for a cold winter's day.

Ingredients

  • Salt and pepper - To taste
  • Cumin - 1 teaspoon
  • Chili powder - 2 tablespoons
  • Diced tomatoes - 1 can
  • Black beans - 1 can
  • Kidney beans - 1 can
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Onion - 1, chopped
  • Venison - 1 pound, ground
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Add the venison and cook until browned.
  3. Add the onion and garlic and cook until the onion is soft.
  4. Add the kidney beans, black beans, diced tomatoes, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper.
  5. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 2 hours.
  6. Serve hot with your favorite chili toppings.
