Spicy Alfredo with Red Pepper Flakes

This creamy and spicy Alfredo sauce is made with red pepper flakes for an extra kick of heat.

Ingredients

  • Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Black pepper - To taste
  • Salt - To taste
  • Red pepper flakes - 1 teaspoon
  • Parmesan cheese - 1 cup, grated
  • Heavy cream - 1 cup
  • Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
  • Butter - 4 tablespoons
  • Fettuccine pasta - 8 ounces

Instructions

  1. Cook the fettuccine pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
  3. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer.
  5. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
  6. Add the red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper. Adjust the amount of red pepper flakes according to your desired level of spiciness.
  7. Add the cooked fettuccine pasta to the skillet and toss to coat the pasta in the sauce.
  8. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly and coats the pasta.
  9. Remove from heat and garnish with fresh chopped parsley.
  10. Serve hot and enjoy!
