Sesame Beef Stir Fry

This sesame beef stir fry is a flavorful and quick dish made with tender beef, fresh vegetables, and a delicious sesame sauce.

Ingredients

  • Salt and pepper - To taste
  • Cooking oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Water - 1/4 cup
  • Cornstarch - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
  • Green onions - 4, sliced
  • Bell pepper - 1, thinly sliced
  • Carrots - 2, thinly sliced
  • Broccoli florets - 2 cups
  • Ginger - 1 tablespoon, grated
  • Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
  • Sesame oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Soy sauce - 1/4 cup
  • Beef sirloin - 1 pound, thinly sliced

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Add the sliced beef and marinate for 10 minutes.
  2. In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch and water to make a slurry. Set aside.
  3. Heat the cooking oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat.
  4. Add the marinated beef and stir fry for 2-3 minutes, until browned. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
  5. In the same skillet, add the broccoli florets, sliced carrots, and bell pepper. Stir fry for 3-4 minutes, until the vegetables are crisp-tender.
  6. Return the beef to the skillet and pour in the cornstarch slurry. Cook for 1-2 minutes, until the sauce thickens.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds.
  9. Serve the sesame beef stir fry hot with steamed rice or noodles.
