Sausage and Mushroom Omelette

This delicious omelette is filled with savory sausage and mushrooms, perfect for a hearty breakfast or brunch.

Ingredients

  • Butter - 1 tablespoon
  • Green onions - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Cheddar cheese - 1/2 cup, shredded
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Milk - 2 tablespoons
  • Eggs - 4
  • Mushrooms - 1 cup, sliced
  • Sausage - 4 links, casings removed

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, cook the sausage over medium heat until browned and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, add the mushrooms and cook until they release their moisture and become tender. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and black pepper.
  4. Heat the butter in the skillet over medium heat. Pour the egg mixture into the skillet and cook until the edges start to set.
  5. Sprinkle the cooked sausage, mushrooms, cheddar cheese, and green onions evenly over one half of the omelette.
  6. Fold the other half of the omelette over the filling and cook for another minute, or until the cheese is melted.
  7. Slide the omelette onto a plate and serve hot.
