Ravioli

Delicious homemade ravioli filled with spinach and ricotta cheese, served with a flavorful tomato sauce.

Ingredients

  • Fresh basil - 1/4 cup, chopped
  • Tomato sauce - 2 cups
  • Salt and pepper - To taste
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Parmesan cheese - 1/2 cup, grated
  • Ricotta cheese - 1 cup
  • Spinach - 2 cups, cooked and chopped
  • Eggs - 3
  • All - purpose flour - 2 cups

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour and eggs. Knead until a smooth dough forms. Cover with plastic wrap and let it rest for 30 minutes.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix together the cooked spinach, ricotta cheese, Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, salt, and pepper.
  3. Roll out the dough on a floured surface until thin. Cut into small squares.
  4. Place a spoonful of the spinach and ricotta filling onto each square. Fold the dough over to form a triangle and press the edges to seal.
  5. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the ravioli for about 5-7 minutes, or until they float to the surface.
  6. In a separate saucepan, heat the tomato sauce over medium heat. Add the cooked ravioli and toss gently to coat.
  7. Serve the ravioli with a sprinkle of fresh basil on top.
