Pancakes with Maple Syrup

Ingredients

  • Maple syrup - To serve
  • Unsalted butter - 3 tablespoons, melted
  • Milk - 1 1/2 cups
  • Eggs - 2, beaten
  • Sugar - 2 tablespoons
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Baking powder - 1 tablespoon
  • All - purpose flour - 2 cups

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
  2. In another bowl, combine the beaten eggs, milk, and melted butter.
  3. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  4. Heat a lightly greased griddle or frying pan over medium-high heat.
  5. Pour or scoop the batter onto the griddle, using approximately 1/4 cup for each pancake.
  6. Cook until bubbles form and the edges are dry, then flip and cook until browned on the other side.
  7. Serve hot with maple syrup.
