Num Kroch

Num Kroch is a traditional Cambodian dessert made with rice flour and coconut milk.

Ingredients

  • Grated coconut - 1/2 cup
  • Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Water - 1/2 cup
  • Salt - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Sugar - 1/2 cup
  • Coconut milk - 1 cup
  • Rice flour - 1 cup

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the rice flour, coconut milk, sugar, salt, and water. Mix well until smooth.
  2. Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat and add the vegetable oil.
  3. Pour a small amount of the batter into the pan, swirling it around to form a thin pancake.
  4. Cook for about 2 minutes, or until the edges start to crisp up.
  5. Flip the pancake and cook for another 2 minutes on the other side.
  6. Repeat with the remaining batter to make more pancakes.
  7. Once all the pancakes are cooked, roll them up and slice into bite-sized pieces.
  8. Serve the Num Kroch pieces sprinkled with grated coconut.
