Ingredients

  • Vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon
  • Milk - 1/2 cup

  • Granulated sugar - 1/2 cup
  • All - purpose flour - 1 cup
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Cornstarch - 2 tablespoons
  • Granulated sugar - 1/2 cup
  • Blueberries - 2 cups
  • Nectarines - 4 cups, sliced

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the sliced nectarines, blueberries, granulated sugar, cornstarch, and lemon juice. Toss until the fruit is well coated. Transfer the mixture to a 9x9-inch baking dish.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt. Add the cold cubed butter and use a pastry cutter or your fingers to cut the butter into the dry ingredients until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Add the milk and vanilla extract to the flour mixture. Stir until just combined. Do not overmix.
