Ingredients

  • Raisins - 2 tablespoons
  • Cashews - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Cardamom powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Ghee - 4 tablespoons
  • Sugar - 1 cup
  • Milk - 4 cups
  • Carrots - 4 cups, grated

Instructions

  1. Heat ghee in a pan over medium heat.
  2. Add the grated carrots and cook for 10-15 minutes, or until the carrots are soft.
  3. Add the milk and bring the mixture to a boil. Reduce the heat to low and let it simmer, stirring occasionally, until the milk has been absorbed.
  4. Add the sugar and cardamom powder and cook for another 10-15 minutes, or until the halwa thickens.
  5. Garnish with chopped cashews and raisins before serving.
