Fisherman Soup

This hearty fisherman soup is packed with a variety of seafood and flavorful spices.

Ingredients

  • Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Salt and pepper - To taste
  • Mussels - 1/2 lb, cleaned
  • Shrimp - 1/2 lb, peeled and deveined
  • Cod fillets - 1 lb, cut into chunks
  • Potatoes - 2 medium, diced
  • White wine - 1/2 cup
  • Fish stock - 4 cups
  • Cayenne pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1 tablespoon
  • Tomato paste - 2 tablespoons
  • Red bell pepper - 1, diced
  • Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
  • Onion - 1 large, chopped
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Add the onion, garlic, and red bell pepper. Cook until the vegetables are softened, about 5 minutes.
  3. Stir in the tomato paste, paprika, and cayenne pepper. Cook for another 2 minutes.
  4. Add the fish stock and white wine. Bring to a simmer.
  5. Add the diced potatoes and cook until they are tender, about 10 minutes.
  6. Season the cod fillets, shrimp, and mussels with salt and pepper. Add them to the pot and cook for 5-7 minutes, or until the seafood is cooked through.
  7. Remove from heat and garnish with fresh parsley.
  8. Serve hot and enjoy!
