This hearty fisherman soup is packed with a variety of seafood and flavorful spices.
Ingredients
Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
Salt and pepper - To taste
Mussels - 1/2 lb, cleaned
Shrimp - 1/2 lb, peeled and deveined
Cod fillets - 1 lb, cut into chunks
Potatoes - 2 medium, diced
White wine - 1/2 cup
Fish stock - 4 cups
Cayenne pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
Paprika - 1 tablespoon
Tomato paste - 2 tablespoons
Red bell pepper - 1, diced
Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
Onion - 1 large, chopped
Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
Instructions
Heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
Add the onion, garlic, and red bell pepper. Cook until the vegetables are softened, about 5 minutes.
Stir in the tomato paste, paprika, and cayenne pepper. Cook for another 2 minutes.
Add the fish stock and white wine. Bring to a simmer.
Add the diced potatoes and cook until they are tender, about 10 minutes.
Season the cod fillets, shrimp, and mussels with salt and pepper. Add them to the pot and cook for 5-7 minutes, or until the seafood is cooked through.
