Bun Dac Biet is a popular Vietnamese noodle dish with a variety of toppings and flavors.

Ingredients

  • Chili pepper - 1, sliced
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Sugar - 1 tablespoon
  • Lime juice - 2 tablespoons
  • Fish sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Roasted peanuts - 2 tablespoons, crushed
  • Mint leaves - 1/4 cup
  • Cucumber - 1, thinly sliced
  • Bean sprouts - 1 cup
  • Lettuce - 1 cup, shredded
  • Vietnamese spring rolls - 2 rolls, sliced
  • Grilled shrimp - 4 oz
  • Grilled pork - 4 oz, sliced
  • Rice vermicelli noodles - 8 oz

Instructions

  1. Cook the rice vermicelli noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together fish sauce, lime juice, sugar, garlic, and chili pepper to make the dressing.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the cooked noodles, grilled pork, grilled shrimp, sliced spring rolls, lettuce, bean sprouts, cucumber, and mint leaves.
  4. Pour the dressing over the noodle mixture and toss to combine.
  5. Divide the bun dac biet into serving bowls and sprinkle with crushed roasted peanuts.
  6. Serve immediately and enjoy!
