Aglio E Olio Sauce

Aglio e Olio is a classic Italian pasta sauce made with garlic, olive oil, and red pepper flakes.

Ingredients

  • Black pepper - To taste
  • Salt - To taste
  • Parsley - 1/4 cup, chopped
  • Parmesan cheese - 1/2 cup, grated
  • Red pepper flakes - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 1/2 cup
  • Garlic - 4 cloves, thinly sliced
  • Spaghetti - 12 ounces

Instructions

  1. Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
  3. Add the sliced garlic and red pepper flakes to the skillet. Cook until the garlic is golden and fragrant, about 2 minutes.
  4. Add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet and toss to coat the pasta in the garlic-infused oil.
  5. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  6. Remove from heat and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese and chopped parsley.
  7. Toss again to combine all the ingredients.
  8. Serve hot and enjoy!
